Stagnation of the human mind 2 by Wethrildae Stagnation of the human mind 2 by Wethrildae
(Left hand side) Just three of the many different genus/species that thrived for some 4 million years with little to show in brain size or morphologic change (in regards to the brain). Perhaps that is recreated in our current belief structures and those "beyond proof"?

I believe it takes willful ignorance and that sort of synthetic stagnation of the mind to try and recreate those primitive perimeters for the misplaced belief that some cosmic truth has been ordained...but hey, at least they use tools.

Logic and the ability to reason is something that stands to set aside some, and perhaps that stagnation can be escaped by using logic and doing science...

I am sorry but it's sounding as biggoted thécon-nerie.

There is actually open minded, clever, intelligent and progressive religious guys too.

And bigots on the atheist side, like some of the radical secular right... Ayn Rand style Objectivists by example.

Too many good quotes but not enough space...that one, I believe, worked well :)

One of my favorite quotes from Dawkins is the one linked here [link]

It would have worked just as well :P

Yeah, already heard that one, 100% agree.

I'm so using this at my science class.

Cheers then! Have fun with it :) I'll be getting into human evolution in a few weeks. So, it's imaginable that this might slip into the slides.

I cannot help but find this eerily accurate.

Aye, as I look at it more it does seem a bit eerie.
